    Description

    Here's the
Seagram's "Benchmarks in American History" Copper High Relief Medallion Set.
    Each Medallion
measures 39 mm or 1 1/2" in diameter and is in
    Excellent Condition.
Payment due within 48 hours of purchase.
Note:  Seagram Distillery issued this set of beautiful medallions to promote their Benchmark Premium Bourbon
.  The obverse of each medallion features the Benchmark Trademark and reads "BENCHMARK IN AMERICAN HISTORY...PRESENTED BY SEAGRAM'S BENCHMARK PREMIUM BOURBON...MEASURE YOUR BOURBON AGAINST IT."  The obverse design can be seen in the Second Photo.  The reverse of each medallion features a Significant Historical Development in
    American
History, briefly described at the end of this paragraph.  Included with the Medallions are Two Holed Cardboard Display Holders.  The reverse of the Cardboard Display contains a brief biography of each medallion.  Both Display Cards appear to have been taped at some point in time and have tears where that tape was removed.  The Medallions themselves were struck on thick solid copper planchettes in High Relief, enhancing their design details and beauty, and are all in Pristine Condition.
Great Piece of Seagram's Benchmark, American
    History
    and Distillery Memorabilia!
(Unless Specifically Described as 'Toning,' the Gold, Green, Purple and Blue Hues seen in the photos are the reflection of a Mardi Gras Banner which hangs above my desk.) Included in this Medallion Set are the following:
    1. Transcontinental Railroad Completed...1869
    2. First Discovery of Gold...1848
    3. Lewis and Clark Expedition Sets Out...1804
    4. Declaration of Independence Signed...1776
    5. First Permanent U.S. Settlement...1565
    6. Alamo Falls to the Mexican Army...1836
