A quick disclaimer:
We are not experts in the sewing arts.  We've worked with several great old machines over the years and can do some basic cleaning, servicing and polishing...  but any machine this old may need addition work, adjustment, etc. to be used on a regular basis. Back between 1960 and 1965, the good people of Singer were producing this sewing machine in the United Kingdom. How it wound up here, I don't know. This machine is capable of different stitches using Singer "Type A" cams, though please note that there are no additional cams with this particular unit.
This is an aluminum-body machine and weighs about 26 pounds, case included. We've oiled this machine, and it is running just fine. The light works, but does not seem to have an independent power switch. The included foot pedal seems to be permanently attached to the body of the machine, but is in good condition both mechanically and cosmetically.
This seems to be a solid machine and should serve you well!
